E-commerce now accounts for ~$1.5 trillion in sales on an annual basis. E-commerce companies show robust double digit growth with an average global growth rate pegged at about 20 percent year on year. However nearly 90 percent of all e-commerce businesses fail within the first year of launching operations. How do you pivot or adapt to rapid change and growth? Allen Nance is an entrepreneur, investor, and director. From a rented house in 2000 he founded a company that became one of the world’s largest email marketing firms leading it to three Inc. 500 awards representing the fastest growing private companies in the United States which sends over 50 billion emails on 5 continents in 35 languages for nearly 1,000 customers. Today he is a founding partner in TechSquare Labs and focuses on helping organizations innovative and build something from nothing. He serves on boards ranging from venture backed startups to large enterprises including Scrubs and Beyond (a $100 million dollar e-commerce business), Rescour, and Springbot (the fastest growing e-commerce marketing platform in the world supporting nearly 1,000 retailers). He is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology and a member of Young President’s Organization (YPO).
