In his role, Ashok leads a team responsible for (a) providing technology strategy and transformation to support the Society’s consolidation/merger from 12 divisions to one; (b) developing innovative mobile, social and CRM solutions to increase revenue and mission outreach; and (c) supporting ACS’s global systems and operations.Prior to joining ACS in 2012, Ashok spent more than 15 years in technology and management consulting, serving financial services, media and healthcare clients. At Alvarez and Marsal (A&M) Consulting, Ashok served as interim CIO/CTO and in other technology leadership roles to support mergers and acquisitions and technology transformation initiatives for his clients. During his tenure at A&M, he also served as the Head of Technology Operations (U.S., Europe and Asia) for the largest bankruptcy in U.S. history – Lehman Brothers – that enabled maximum recovery for creditors.Prior to A&M, Ashok was with McKinsey & Company, where he was the key driver of a multiyear technology transformation initiative. He began his technology career in Merck’s Clinical Trials and Research Labs Division. He later spent more than five years at KPMG Consulting, where he served as engagement manager and technology architect for large-scale system integration projects.With expertise in leading more than 30 merger and acquisition private equity transactions at A&M, Ashok is a frequent speaker and panelist on subjects ranging from carve-outs to mergers, transformations to innovation. In 2014, Ashok was a finalist at the SSA Impact Awards for demonstrating outstanding leadership in bringing new and innovative technology solutions to the market.Ashok received a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics and statistics, with a concentration in computer science, from State University of New York at Stony Brook. He later earned a master’s degree in computer science from New Jersey Institute of Technology.Having relocated to Atlanta in 2012, Ashok lives in Roswell with his wife and three kids. He is an active member of ACS’s mission – a top individual fundraiser in the organization – and regularly engages with the Atlanta technology community.
